Moorfields appointed Administrators over Somerset construction firm

Simon Thomas and Nicholas O’Reilly of leading restructuring and insolvency firm, Moorfields Corporate Recovery LLP, were appointed Administrators of Mike Stacey Limited t/a Stacey Construction and West Country Guns on 23 April 2014.

Established in 1967 Stacey Construction located in Wiveliscombe, Somerset, had built a solid reputation for supplying construction services to the commercial market, and specialised in building petrol and service stations.  The company also more recently operated a separate division West Country Guns a retail business for new and used guns.

The joint administrators are currently seeking a buyer for West Country Guns, interested parties should contact info@moorfieldscr.com.

Nick O’Reilly, Joint Administrator said “Stacey Construction was a well established business which has built a strong reputation over 47 years. Unfortunately lack of available cash meant that we could not continue to trade the business on our appointment. We are currently seeking a buyer for the retail division West Country Guns.

The former Director has stated that he hopes to buy part of the business to continue the specialism in building petrol and service stations. We will be in discussions with him and any other interested parties about selling this division to raise further cash for creditors.”

Interested parties should contact Moorfields Corporate Recovery on info@moorfieldscr.com or 0207 186 1144.
