Moorfields appointed Administrators over Glasgow Shopping Centre

Property Specialists Simon Thomas and Arron Kendall have been appointed Administrators over The Braes Shopping Centre in South East Glasgow.  

The shopping centre forms a key part of the established community centre in Castlemilk with over 50 shops, free parking and a selection of eateries.

Simon Thomas Joint Administrator “This is our 5^th appointment over shopping centres in 2 months. Unfortunately, physical shops are continuing to suffer heavy competition from with online retailers as consumers make a fundamental shift to online shopping. However the shopping centre offers a central location with a good mixture of both highstreet and independent retailers.  

The shopping centre will continue to trade as normal whilst the administrators consider strategies to increase value prior to seeking a buyer.
