Bankrupt Director of Surrey Restaurant Group

The owner of a Surrey based restaurant group was made bankrupt following the receivership of a number of his trading sites.

Moorfields were appointed Trustee in bankruptcy by a lender, who had secured a personal guarantee of £500,000, to undertake investigations and realise assets for the benefit of creditors.

Using our specialist forensic experience, Moorfields undertook comprehensive investigations into the bankrupt's affairs which identified a number of hidden assets.

Moorfields successfully challenged the validity of the transfer of assets, resulting in a sale of property for £1.6m and creditors receiving a dividend of 25p in £.
