Moorfields Advisory is pleased to announce the successful sale of the historic Selsdon Park Hotel, the lifestyle hotel and members’ club located in South London, to The Selsdon Hotel Ltd, a company owned by BH Group.
Moorfields was originally appointed in November 2023 as Joint Administrators over the operating company, alongside a separate appointment as Fixed Charge Receivers in respect of the freehold and long leasehold assets. Since appointment, Moorfields has been responsible for stabilising and managing the business, maintaining the hotel for over two years while undertaking a coordinated strategy to preserve value and the underlying property interests.
Following a complex disposal process, which included the acquisition of the hotel’s freehold interest, a sale was completed to BH Group, an experienced hospitality and real estate investor, securing the future of the site which will result in employment to the local area and provide a high quality outlet for future members, guests and suppliers.
The Selsdon Park Hotel is a historic local landmark with its roots dating back to the 19th century, a well-established venue known for its distinctive positioning within the lifestyle hospitality sector. The acquisition provides a platform for continued investment and growth under new ownership which will see the asset return to its former glory.
