Moorfields Advisory Secures Sale of Andra Jewels Limited, Safeguarding 41 Jobs

Andra Jewels

Moorfields Advisory has successfully completed the sale of part of the business and assets of Andra Jewels Limited, a long-established commercial jewellery manufacturer and importer, preserving 41 jobs.

Andra Jewels Limited specialised in ultra-thin, lightweight and affordable 9ct gold and costume jewellery, and had built a strong customer base including high street retailers and online direct-to-consumer platforms. During 2025, the Company faced financial pressures including reduced turnover, HMRC arrears, tightened supplier credit terms and volatility in gold and silver prices, which significantly impacted margins and cashflow.

Moorfields was initially engaged to provide advisory support, including cashflow forecasting, financial review and assessing refinancing options. When it became clear the business could not sustainably service its liabilities, Moorfields conducted an accelerated marketing process to seek a purchaser.

The sale of one trading site was successfully completed, with 41 of 52 employees transferring to the buyer. One loss-making site was unfortunately closed as part of the transaction.

Andy Pear, Partner at Moorfields Advisory, commented:

“This was a challenging situation in a sector facing significant cost and margin pressures. By engaging early and exploring all available options, we were able to deliver a structured sale process that preserved the viable elements of the business and safeguarded the majority of jobs. We are pleased to have achieved a positive outcome for employees and stakeholders.”

The purchaser added:

“I thank you for your professional work over the past weeks that has enabled us to acquire the business. It’s been a pleasure working with you and appreciate both your high standards and determined efforts to help get these transactions to completion.”
