Julie Thatcher is a Senior Director at Moorfields  with extensive experience in corporate restructuring, insolvency, and business performance improvement across a diverse range of sectors and organisations.

A Chartered Certified Accountant since 2007 and a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia since 2009, Julie has built her career both in the UK and overseas. She has worked in boutique restructuring practices in the UK and with Deloitte in Australia, gaining valuable international experience in trading and restructuring insolvent businesses, overseeing all aspects of operations, finance, and turnaround execution.

In addition to her client-facing work,  Julie plays a key leadership role within the firm, driving operational excellence, strategic execution, and regulatory compliance. She is responsible for the day-to-day running of Moorfields’ business operations, ensuring teams are effectively resourced, supported, and aligned with the firm’s strategic objectives. Her leadership promotes a people-first culture focused on growth, resilience, and high performance.
