Willand Biogas – Sale of Renewable Energy Facility

Moorfields were appointed as Administrators over Willand Biogas LLP, a fully operational biogas facility located in Devon, on 1 May 2024.

The plant generated and supplied upgraded biomethane gas and electricity to the national power grids, with a production capacity of 1,000m³/h. Suitable for use with almost all organic substrates through the anaerobic digestion process, the facility represented a significant green energy asset in the South West.

Moorfields successfully completed the sale of the business and assets on 2 July 2025, ensuring the continued operation of the site and the preservation of skilled local employment.
