Moorfields were appointed as Receivers over The Victoria Shopping Centre in Southend, a 295,000 sq.ft retail asset valued at approximately £12 million.
The appointment followed borrower default, requiring professional oversight to manage operations, engage with tenants, and prepare the site for disposal.
Objectives
- Undertake asset management initiatives to maintain operational performance and tenant satisfaction.
 - Analyse re-development opportunities to maximise long-term value.
 - Negotiate with tenants to optimise occupancy and rental income.
 - Complete a strategic disposal to achieve the best outcome for the secured lender.
