Profile
Dianne began her career in the Leisure industry, managing hotels, theatres, bingo halls and cinemas. In 1994 she began working in the Corporate Recovery department at KPMG and has over 16 years experience in business recovery including restructuring and insolvency. After working at KPMG for seven years she moved to BDO Stoy Hayward where, after spending two years working in Manchester, moved to Leeds.
Dianne was instrumental in the opening of a “Greenfield” office and successfully grew the business from a standing start. After joining RSM Bentley Jennison in 2007 for a period in their fraud investigation department, she joined Moorfields Corporate Recovery LLP as Senior Manager with particular responsibility for managing all compliance issues for the company. Dianne now heads up our Leeds office and is responsible for managing and growing the business in the North of England.
Experience and skills
Dianne’s background and experience is in managing corporate trading insolvencies, dealing with the related practical, on site issues including production, sale of business negotiations and people management. She has carried out numerous Directors’ conduct investigations, uncovering fraudulent trading activities and has assisted the DTI in bringing successful prosecutions. Dianne has been involved with Restraint and Confiscation cases, assisting in taking control of illegally obtained assets and maintaining those assets until such time as cases were brought to Court.
Her commercial awareness and practical approach makes her particularly successful in gaining a positive outcome in trading insolvencies.
Selected Projects
- Manufacture of GRP garage doors, 120 employees. Traded the company for a two month period, preserving the business in order to maintain output levels and goodwill until, following protracted negotiations, a successful sale could be completed.
- Print finishing company, £8.7 million turnover. Business was split into two distinct products thereby a sale of both product lines were achieved to separate entities.
- Peat extraction and manufacturing company. Traded company for a two month period from six sites, manufacturing four product lines. Concluded in a successful sale of business.
- Logistics and distribution business. Company operated a hub and spoke system with independent “partners” used for onward distribution. Debtors ledger of £2 million, “partners” ledger of £1.5 million.
